  • The Kumho Petrochemical Group's Ethics Hotline (justice.kkpcgroup.com, hereafter referred to as the “Kumho Ethics Hotline”) values the personal information of users and adheres to regulations set by the Personal Information Protection Act and other related legal provisions concerning personal information protection.

    Through our Privacy Policy, the “Kumho Ethics Hotline” informs you of how the company utilizes personal information provided by the users and the measures taken to protect personal information.

    1. Collected Personal Information Items and Purpose

    This website utilizes collected personal information for the following purposes in order to provide services. The collected personal information will not be used for purposes other than those listed below; if the usage purpose changes, we will take necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent, in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

  • 2. Personal Information Processing and Retention Period

    The “Kumho Ethics Hotline” promptly disposes of the collected personal information once the purpose of collection and use is achieved, as a principle, unless required otherwise for disciplinary actions, etc.

    However, if required by relevant laws and regulations, the company retains personal information for a specific period as stipulated by applicable laws. In such cases, the company transfers the information to a separate database (DB) or stores it in another location.

    The “Kumho Ethics Hotline” uses personal information within the scope mentioned in “Purpose of Personal Information Collection” and, for efficient personal information processing tasks, has entrusted the personal information processing tasks as follows.

    3. - Retention and Use Period: As stated in “Personal Information Processing and Retention Period”

    The “Kumho Ethics Hotline” ensures the safety of personal information protection when entrusting the processing of personal information. It specifies, in documents such as contracts, the prohibition of processing personal information beyond the scope of the entrusted work, the implementation of technical and managerial protective measures, the management and supervision of the trustee, restrictions on re-entrustment, and the return or disposal of personal information after processing is completed among others. It also ensures that the trustee securely processes the personal information.
    If the content of the entrusted work or the trustee changes, we will promptly disclose it through this privacy policy.

  • 4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

    The “Kumho Ethics Hotline” uses the personal information of the data subject within the scope specified in “Purpose of Personal Information Collection.” Information may be shared to affiliated companies for reporting processing purposes, as detailed below, with prior consent from the data subject.

    1. - Recipients: Kumho Petrochemical Group's subsidiary companies, as needed, for additional verification or investigation of reported content
    2. - Purpose of Provision: Additional verification or investigation of reported content, rewards, disciplinary actions, and other related tasks.

    4. - Retention and Use Period: As stated in “Personal Information Processing and Retention Period”

    Please note that the companies listed above may change in the future. If there are changes to the companies or if personal information is provided or shared beyond the stated scope, a separate procedure will be implemented to obtain the data subject's consent for such actions.

  • 5. Procedure and Method of Personal Information Disposal

    The “Kumho Ethics Hotline” principally destroys the personal information once the collection and usage purpose is achieved. The disposal procedure and method are as follows.

    1. 1) Disposal Procedure

      Information entered by the user is moved to a separate DB (or separate documentation in paper form) once the purpose is achieved and is stored for a certain period in accordance with information protection guidelines outlined in internal policies and relevant laws (refer to Retention and Use Period) before being destroyed. The personal information transferred to the DB will not be used for any other purpose unless required by law.

    2. 2) Disposal Method

      - Personal information printed on paper is destroyed through shredding or incineration.

      - Personal information saved in electronic file format is deleted using a technical method that guarantees the irretrievability of the records.

  • 6. Rights and Obligations of the Data Subject and Methods of Exercising Rights

    1) The data subject can exercise the following rights regarding personal information at the “Kumho Ethics Hotline.”

    1. 2) Rights stated in the first clause can be exercised towards the company via written document, phone call, email, fax, etc. The “Kumho Ethics Hotline” will act promptly in response.
    2. 3) If the data subject requests correction or deletion of personal information due to errors, the “Kumho Ethics Hotline” will not use or provide the said personal information until corrections or deletions are completed. However, the right of the data subject to access personal information and request the suspension of its processing may be restricted in accordance with Article 35, Paragraph 4, and Article 37, Paragraph 2, of the Personal Information Protection Act.
    3. 4) According to the first clause, rights can be exercised through a legal representative or an authorized agent of the data subject. In such cases, a power of attorney form, as outlined in Attachment 11 of the Notice on Personal Information Processing Methods, must be submitted.
    4. 5) The data subject should not infringe upon their own or others' personal information and privacy processed by the “Kumho Ethics Hotline” in violation of the Personal Information Protection Act or related regulations.
  • 7. Personal Information Protection Measures

    The “Kumho Ethics Hotline” has established the following technical and managerial measures to ensure the safety of personal information, preventing loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage.

    1. 1) Technical Measures

      Encryption of informants' personal information, management of system access rights, installation of server and database access control system, and application of personal information transmission security devices (such as SSL).

    2. 2) Physical Measures

      Access control for computer rooms and similar areas.

    3. 3) Managerial Measures

      Limited access to personal information to responsible personnel, periodic staff training, and collection of pledges on personal information protection.

    This Privacy Policy is effective from November 1, 2023. In case of any additions, deletions, or modifications due to changes in government policies or security technologies, the company will announce it on the website at least seven days before the revision.
